Stone & Concrete Cladding Supply in Coral Gables

Manufactured stone veneer and architectural concrete supplied to Coral Gables — colour-matched to Mediterranean revival elevations and Board of Architects review.

Coral Gables is the hardest city in South Florida to supply stone into, and Miami Stone Veneer Specialists means that as a compliment. George Merrick built it on a single coherent palette, and a century later the Board of Architects still holds that line.

What the Gables actually wants

Warm limestone tones, Mediterranean coursing, and coral rock. Our Cantera and Mediterranean collections were made for this — long, low courses in the sun-bleached palette the city was built on.

What doesn't work here is anything that reads as contemporary grey. A cool slate feature wall that looks superb in Edgewater will get sent back on a Biltmore-adjacent street.

Historic properties and the review question

On a contributing historic structure, expect scrutiny, and expect the board to ask whether the material is quarried. Everything we press is concrete — if the ruling is that only quarried keystone will do, we'll tell you that up front rather than sell you something that gets rejected.

In practice most Gables projects aren't on a contributing structure, and manufactured stone clears review routinely. Our Cantera and Coastal ranges carry the pale, shell-flecked read the board is looking for.

On newer construction, manufactured stone is approved routinely. Either way, take a full-size sample to the board before ordering. It costs nothing, and we've seen four-figure orders stranded by people who did it the other way round.

Columns, and why they matter here

Gables architecture is full of columns and arched openings. Wrapping those with flat panels cut into wedges gives you a faceted column that reads wrong from the street — and on these streets, people notice.

Order radiused pieces. Our Mediterranean Curved piece is cast to a radius rather than cut to one. Budget columns as their own line; they cost substantially more per square foot than flat wall.

Delivery to Coral Gables

Twenty minutes from our Biscayne Boulevard yard, on our own trucks. We're in the Gables most weeks, so small top-up orders aren't a problem.

Order by early afternoon on a stocked collection and it's usually on site the next working day. Non-stock patterns and custom colours run four to six weeks, so tell us early if the schedule is tight.

Common questions

Will the Board of Architects approve manufactured stone in Coral Gables? +

It depends on the district and the property. On contributing historic structures the review is strict and quarried material is often required. On newer and non-contributing properties, manufactured stone is approved regularly. Get a full-size sample in front of the board before you order, not after.

Can you match the original coral rock on a 1920s house? +

Closely, yes. Bring us a loose piece or good photographs and we'll match tone and texture from the Coastal and Cantera ranges. It's a concrete match rather than quarried keystone — if the board requires genuine like-for-like material, we'll say so rather than sell you something that won't pass.

Do you deliver to Coral Gables? +

Daily on our own trucks — about twenty minutes from the yard. Stocked collections ordered by early afternoon are usually on site the next working day.

We also supply Miami Beach — same stock, same delivery schedule.
